Troy
is the one responsible for keeping the team together! Troy
has been around bikes for a long time (longer than tonya)-
his first bike was a Schwinn mountain bike... but his first
real mountain bike was a Gary Fisher Supercaliber 1992 (which
was stolen, even though it had a broken derailleur hanger).
Troy's
love for bikes and mechanical things, his attention to detail,
and his ability to stay awake for weeks at the time have made
him one of the best race mechanics in the country- especially
at 24 hour races.
Troy's
ability to communicate with all kinds of people and keep calm
in even the worst situations has made him the team's most
important member. Troy is a great salesman as well, so beware!!
His enthusiasm for bikes is quite remarkable. You will find
out some interesting things if you hang out around Troy, such
as the torque value of an XTR splined bottom bracket bolt
versus a tapered bottom bracket bolt. Troy has an incredible
memory and mathematical ability that makes him good at what
he does.
Let's
not forget to mention Troy was trained at Barnett Bicycle
Institute by the best... and now he is by far one of the best...
mechanics!
