the chicks are in Snowmass!

We've arrived in Snowmass after two long days of driving...! From Sandpoint, we drove over to Spokane. Left Monday morning and spent thenightin Idaho Falls, which is the western gateway to Yellowstone, and of course, Jackson Hole. The driving was long, but I was on a mission to arrive- just to start the resting and recovering process from the last week and the driving.

Today, the sky is a clear Colorado blue- bubbly cumulus clouds hanging out over head. The quake of the Aspens sidles in through the screen, carried on a soft and fresh breeze. My surroundings are still unfamiliar, as I have only been outside in the daylight once- just outside the condo- and not having seen the actual mountainscape that hopefully surrounds.

Troy arrives today to help with set up and all the tech stuff. His story is more impressive than ours. He left Sanpoint after our short track race and headed home. After driving straight through for about 17 hours or so- he was to go into work for 2 days. This morning upon awaking, he loaded up and is not on his wasy to Snowmass for one night. Returning to Longmont tomorrow night, and hopefully making it back to Snowmass for our races. Troy is the hardest worker in the world- hands down. And the most devoted husband a girl could ever hope for.

More reports to come later as we get the 7th round of NORBA Nationals underway!
